One man has been arrested and is facing charges following a disturbance in Lake Country.

RCMP were called to the Swalwell Park spray park just after 4 p.m. on Tuesday in response to a fight in the parking lot.

Police learned that a father of one of the kids at the park confronted another man who was allegedly committing an indecent act while sitting in his vehicle beside the spray park.

The confrontation turned physical and according to a witness report, the dad punched the suspect in the face.

When police arrived, they took the 64-year-old man into custody.

“The RCMP continue their investigation into the allegations made, as investigators look to speak with more potential witnesses,” said Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey.

The suspect was released Tuesday evening on strict conditions and is expected to appear in court at a later date.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Lake Country RCMP at 250-766-2288.
