(Original story: October 17th) - No tree was safe during the Okanagan's wild windstorm Tuesday afternoon. 

Several NowMedia readers sent in photos of large branches and in some cases entire trees that were taken down by the wind.

According to Weather Stats, winds at the Kelowna Airport were clocked at a maximum speed of 66.6 km/h at 11 a.m. on October 17th.

Due to high winds, more than 4,200 homes in West Kelowna, Peachland and Summerland were without power.
