Kids can set their sights on conquering the sky once again this this year.

The Canadian Owners Pilot Association Kids Junior Aviator Program once again will be taking kids and teens into the sky.

More than 200 young Okanagan residents between the ages of eight and 17 will be taking to the skies with pilots who have volunteered their time and aircraft on June 15. All participants will be able to learn about the airplanes, aviation and flying before they get to take off.

The family friendly event will include food, aviation exhibits, and demonstrations from Medevac, Search and Rescue, RCMP, charter aircraft, flight school and Air Cadets.

The event will take place at June 15 from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Kelowna Flying Club at 6135 Airport Way Apron 3 at the Kelowna International Airport.
