What do NHL hockey stars, baseball and the Kelowna General Hospital have in common? Usually not much, but on Canada Day weekend they are coming together in support of the KGH Foundation!

On Friday, June 29th the first ever HOMEBASE Charity Slo-Pitch Tournament will kick off a fun-filled weekend event in our community and we want you to attend! This tournament supports JoeAnna’s House, a home away from home at the Kelowna General Hospital for families traveling for medical care.

Friday’s game, featuring past and current NHL players, Josh Gorges, Blake Comeau, Shea Weber, Carey Price, Luke Schenn, Brayden Schenn, Brendan Gallagher, Ryan Johansen, Jordin Tootoo and more, will kick off at 5:00 p.m. with an autograph signing and game action begins at 6:30 p.m. For the full weekend schedule, click here.

General admission tickets for the family-friendly All-Star match are $15, a family of four are $25 and children 12 and under are $5. Tickets are limited, so don’t wait until the last minute and get yours today! You can purchase tickets ahead of time here, and learn more about the event here.

The KGH Foundation is also looking for 4 Bat Kids to help the players out at the game. If this sounds like a job for your kiddos, you can learn more by clicking here.

KelownaNow has teamed up with the KGH Foundation to give you the chance to win four VIP tickets to the Friday night (June 29th) celebrity ball game at King’s Stadium and the after-party celebration! What better way to celebrate Canada’s birthday than some good old fashioned ball and supporting a great cause!

How to enter: Fill out the online form below. We will randomly select a winner on Monday, June 25th from the qualified entries. Good luck, Kelowna!
