Today on Cseking In, host Nikki Csek interviews Morgan Decksheimer, the Chief Executive Officer of Meal Prep For You.

Meal Prep For You has become a household name in the Thompson Okanagan area, but its success was not achieved overnight. In fact, the idea for the business was born when Decksheimer's personal training clients expressed interest in having the same healthy diet as him but didn't want to go through the hassle of cooking and meal prepping themselves.

While the demand for this service was high, Decksheimer faced the challenge of creating a meal prep business while still running his personal training business.

The local entrepreneur believes keeping your day job while working on your ideas is a better strategy than the modern-day concept of quitting everything and going all-in on something else.

"It keeps some cash flow coming, but it also tests you to make sure you can be multifaceted," he explains.

He also notes that successful entrepreneurs often work 15-16 hour days, but he doesn’t view that as a problem. Instead, he knew he had to work long hours to see his vision through.

Decksheimer goes on to talk about the mindset shift he had to undergo during the creation of Meal Prep For You.

“I was like, I’ve got to work, whether it be a year like this or 10 years, 15-20 hours a day, whatever it was, but I’m gonna see it though.”

“And once I got into that mindset, things just started happening faster and faster.”
