Big Brother Canada has revealed the houseguests for season seven, and a Kelowna local is in the mix.

Dane Rupert, a 27-year-old civil technician, has a spot in the Big Brother house. Although he’s a civil technician now, for most of his life he was a hockey player.

Rupert describes himself as “fun, outgoing, and entertaining.” When asked about what people from his hometown have that gives them an edge to win Big Brother, he said “Kelowna is like living in the Big Brother Canada house, it has people from all different walks of life. You have to get along with everyone and I’m ready to bring that quality to the house.”

He isn’t the only houseguest from B.C. Kiera Wallace, a 23-year-old from Port Moody, and 28-year-old Damien Ketlo from Nadleh Whut’en, will also be in season seven.

The new season premieres March 6, 2019 at 7 p.m. on Global.
