(UPDATE: Nov. 8 @ 10 am): Blind Melon, Soul Asylum and Bif Naked will not be coming to Penticton after all.
The bands have cancelled their upcoming Canadian tour dates "due to unforeseen circumstances."
They were booked in for a show at the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre for April 15 next year.
Presale tickets will be automatically refunded, the organizers said.
Those who bought tickets with credit cards have been advised that refunds will begin Friday but could take between five and 10 days to post.
If a refund has not been made by Nov. 18, email SOEC-BoxOffice@penticton.ca.
Refunds must be completed by Nov. 25, organizers said.

It’s just been announced that Blind Melon, Soul Asylum and Bif Naked will be rocking the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre in the South Okanagan that night.
Although some might be paying the price of admission simply to hear the song “No Rain” live, Blind Melon has new members and promises new material that sounds both fresh and familiar.
Blind Melon has been around for 25 years, but Soul Asylum has been making music even longer after forming in Minneapolis in 1981.
After seeing some major success in the 1990s, the band broke up for a while before reuniting in 2006.
The band has a loyal fanbase and widespread critical acclaim.
Finally, Bif Naked is an opening act you won’t want to miss as the Canadian will surely deliver another memorable live performance.
Tickets for the show are $41 plus taxes and fees and it’s a general admission all-ages show.
They go on sale on Friday, Nov. 8 @ 10 am through Valley First Tix.
