Circle Dec. 7 on the calendar, because it’ll be the perfect day to take the family to the movies!

It’s a Saturday and it’s Cineplex’s annual Community Day, which means select theatres across Canada will be showing Christmas movies free of charge.

The doors will open to these theatres at 9 am with the shows scheduled to start at 9:30 am, and there’s five different movies to choose from this year.

Elf, A Christmas Story, Gremlins, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation and The Polar Express will all be shown.

Not only will admission to these films be free, but there will also be great deals on snacks.

Popcorn, drinks and candy will cost just $2.50 and all the proceeds will go to Boys & Girls Clubs across the country.

“We have a long history at Cineplex of giving back to our local communities and have proudly contributed millions of dollars to non-profit organizations across the country,” said Ellis Jacob, president and CEO of Cineplex.

“This year, we are excited to host our ninth annual Community Day fundraiser in support of Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada and their work in creating opportunities for children and youth across the country to connect, learn, play and have fun.”
