We’re well in 2021 now, which means it’s time to look ahead to what’s coming to Netflix Canada in the year’s second month.

There’s plenty of interesting content coming our way, which is a good thing since it’s still winter and we’re still trying to stay home as much as possible.

As always, Netflix has plenty of original content on tap for February, including a number of films, but it’s a documentary that might interest British Columbians the most.

Crime Scene: The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel will be released on Feb. 10 and it’s the story of a 21-year-old UBC student who was killed while on vacation in Los Angeles.

Elisa Lam vanished while staying at the infamous Cecil Hotel in downtown Los Angeles and her body was later found inside a water tank on the rooftop of the hotel.

Foul play was initially suspected, but the coroner eventually ruled her death as accidental due to drowning and there were no drugs in her system that would explain her odd behaviour caught on hotel security cameras.
