NowMedia reporter John Luke Kieper isn’t the only Big Brother Canada season eight contestant with local ties.

Another contestant is Rianne Swanson, a native of Chetwynd, BC who currently works as an operating room nurse at Kelowna General Hospital.

“This OR nurse is a social butterfly and will have no problem maintaining a persuasive game,” says Swanson’s bio on the Big Brother Canada website.

The 29-year-old calls herself a Tomboy, but says she loves to let loose with her girlfriends and turn it up when she’s not busy with work.

“I love to party and have a good time,” she says with a laugh on her introduction video.

In the same video, she warns viewers they might see “crazy Riri in the house, get ready for it!”

What might also serve her well during Big Brother Canada season eight is that she self-admittedly doesn’t have any problem with confrontation and isn’t afraid to talk things out.

Whether it’s KelownaNow’s very own John Luke Kieper or KGH nurse Rianne Swanson, fans of Big Brother Canada in Kelowna certainly have a couple horses in the race this season.
