It’s the season of giving and that doesn’t exclude the world of rock ‘n’ roll.

Five local bands will come together for a night of great music and important charity, known as the 12th annual Merry Dickmas.

It’s coming up on Friday night at the OK Corral and you’ll hear sets from Lucky Monkey, Whiskey Dick, Blood Alley Rats, Bush Party and The Black of Hearts.

The doors open at 9 pm and it’ll cost you $20 to get in, but that cost goes down to $15 if you donate a fresh pair of wool socks.

Organizers are hoping that everyone pays $15, because the goal of this event is to collect 452 new pairs of socks for the city’s less fortunate.

The OK Corral’s capacity is 452, so that means a sold out event with everyone pitching in for the great cause.

Merry Dickmas have coined the phrase “Sock Hop for Cold Feet” for this year’s events and it couldn’t be a better fit.
