A brand new live streamed event featuring musicians from the LGBTQ2+ community across BC is making a call for artist submissions.

Kelowna based production company Rebellious Unicorns is launching “QUSIC” with the goal of bolstering exposure for an otherwise underrepresented group.

The first edition of the free online event kicks off at 7 pm on Wednesday, May 27 and features a performance by Adam Kern live from Firends of Dorothy Lounge in Kelowna.

“QUSIC is committed to showcasing the talents of emerging LGBTQ2+ artists and paying them for their performances on our streaming series,” says Dustyn Baulkham, Executive Producer at Rebellious Unicorns.

“We are also incredibly grateful to Creative BC for providing the funding that allows us to produce QUSIC.”

Any BC-based artists from the LGBTQ2+ community who like to perform during the bi-monthly live stream event are encouraged to send an application to https://unicorns.live/qusic/ at anytime.

The show format will also include a hosted interview portion, during which viewers will have the ability to submit and ask questions to the artists in real time.
