Netflix is looking for a tall girl to star in their next film, and casting is open.

With the huge popularity of originals like To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, and Sierra Burgess Is A Loser, the genre has been a popular one on the streaming service and now you could star in their newest teen film.

Netflix announced that they will be holding an open casting call for the star of the upcoming film Tall Girl.

producers of the film are currently in search of tall girls from all over the world to audition for the part of the female lead: 16 year old Jodi, who - at more than six feet tall - has to go above and beyond to survive high school while struggling with the constant label of being her school’s tall girl.

Capturing the tone of the classic John Hughes movies, Tall Girl explores the nuanced and delicate relationships that make high school challenging, frustrating, memorable, and uplifting.

Tall Girl is directed by Nzingha Stewart (Grey’s Anatomy, A Million Little Things) and written by Sam Wolfson (Andi Mack, Finding Carter). It is Netflix’s fourth collaboration with Wonderland’s McG and Mary Viola (The Duff). Wonderland’s Corey Marsh will also produce. The film’s casting director is Barbara McCarthy (Mother’s Day, The Duff), who also cast the upcoming Netflix film Christmas Chronicles.

Auditions are open to girls on a worldwide basis who are 5’10” or taller and between the ages of 13 and 21-years-old.

“Tall Girl is about all the places where we feel awkward or tender, and learning not only to accept those places, but to shower them with unconditional and radical love,” said Nzingha Stewart.

Those who want to audition can visit www.tallgirlcasting.com and submit no later than Nov. 21, 2018. Tall Girl will begin shooting in January of 2019.
