Okanagan country artist Teigen Gayse is back with her brand new single “I Don’t Want To Fall In Love Anymore” that punches back at heartbreak.

Backed by a searing slide guitar riff, the lyrics work as a mantra for loving yourself after spending a bit too much time lending those feelings to someone else.

“It took me about six months after a particularly emotional breakup before I could even put my emotions into song,” explained Gayse.

“I was a little nervous to bare my feelings in such a way, but I think people can really relate to this song and maybe it can help them.”

While the lyrics certainly take a few jabs at falling in love, the high-energy chorus works as a windows-down anthem that could be perfect for a spring fling.

“It was my first time working with producer Jeff Johnson of Bailey Way Entertainment and he really brought the best out of my voice during the recording process,” said Gayse.

“He kept saying ‘imagine listening to your song on the radio’ and I think you can hear that inspiration in the music.”

The new song is the first single from Gayse’s upcoming EP that’s due out this summer.
