Fred Willard, a prolific actor, comedian and writer that appeared in numerous shows and films, died on Friday evening, according to a statement from his daughter.
Hope Willard published a tweet on Satuday afternoon sharing the news of her 86-year-old father's death.
"It is with a heavy heart that I share the news my father passed away very peacefully last night at the fantastic age of 86 years old," she said.

The New York Times reported that Mike Eisenstadt, Willard's agent, confirmed the death.
Willard was an emmy-nominated talk show host in "What's Hot, What's Not," as well as for his acting roles in movies like Best in Show and television series "Everybody Loves Raymond" and "Modern Family."
