(UPDATE: May 1) - The good news is that Rage Against the Machine is still coming to Canada on their historic comeback tour, the bad news is that fans will have to wait until 2021.

Newly rescheduled tour dates have RATM landing in Vancouver of Friday, June 19.

"Rage Against the Machine will commence our tour at such a time when we are confident it will be safe for our fans," the band wrote in their announcement.

However, there's no confirmation that original openers Run the Jewels will still be joining them.

The band originally postponed its tour dates due to COVID-19 concerns.

(Original Story: March 13) -  Even one of the most rebellious groups in the history of music are taking direction from government and health officials.

Rage Against the Machine has postponed the initial spring portion of their comeback tour due to the outbreak of the coronavirus disease.

Three Canadian gigs in Vancouver (May 1), Edmonton (May 3) and Calgary (May 5) have all been postponed, with all previously purchased tickets will be honoured at the soon-to-be rescheduled shows.

The news follows a rash of canceled events across North America after health officials directed event organizers to cancel gatherings larger than 250 people.
