The 2018 schedule for the CP Holiday Train has been released and once again it’ll wind its way through the B.C. Interior.
There are two holiday trains, with one heading through the U.S. and the other travelling the Canadian route.'
Montreal will be the starting point for both routes, on Nov. 25 and Nov. 27.
The Canadian train will enter British Columbia on Dec. 14 and visit 16 communities over an action packed five days.
That includes stops in Revelstoke, Salmon Arm, Kamloops and many more towns and cities, which you can view the full schedule for by clicking this link.
As always, the CP Holiday Train will bring along plenty of fun activities and entertainment for those who chose to check it out while it’s stopped.
This year, that includes a free show the Juno winning group Sam Roberts Band, who will be performing at all the B.C. stops this year.
Country artists Kelly Prescott and Tracey Brown will be playing as well.
This is the 20th year that the train has made its holiday journey across the continent.
Since launching in 1999, the annual journey has raised more than $14.5 million CAD and gathered 4.3 million pounds of food for communities along CP’s routes.
"It is a privilege for CP to be able to run a program like this and connect with so many communities across our network,” said Keith Creel, CP’s president and CEO.
“I want to personally thank each individual who has made a donation over the past 20 years – your collective efforts have made the Holiday Train a huge success for two decades."
