News of who will kick off the first night of the 2019 Penticton Peach Festival has finally arrived.

Canada’s own 90’s alternative folk-rockers, The Crash Test Dummies, will launch Penticton's hottest party of the summer into orbit on Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2019.

Not only will the show mark the group’s first time in Penticton, but their first time ever playing in the Okanagan.

It was announced in the fall of 2018 that the original members of the group would reunite after a multi-year hiatus to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their best-selling album, God Shuffled His Feet.

“We are absolutely ecstatic to welcome The Crash Test Dummies for the opening night of the 2019 Penticton Peach Festival,” said Don Kendall, president of the Penticton Peach Festival.

Back for its 72nd year, the Penticton Peach Festival will conquer Okanagan Lake Park from Aug. 7 to 11, 2019.

Jam-packed with various activities, like car shows, a mini carnival and its own music festival featuring some of Canada’s and the Okanagan’s biggest stars, Peach Fest is a must-attend event.
