It has the potential to go down as an iconic concert and you can watch it from more than 10,000 kilometres away.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers are playing a show at the Pyramids of Giza tonight, which will be live streamed to their fans around the world.

It’ll be broadcast to the band’s official YouTube page, along with their Facebook and Twitter pages.

The show begins at 8 p.m. local time in Egypt, which means it gets underway at 11 a.m. PDT for those in British Columbia.

Most people will be at work, but hopefully you have a way of sneaking the live stream on at the office, or maybe a well-timed lunch break is in order.

The band is still working on its 12th studio album, which was originally slated to come out in the summer of 2019 but was delayed due to the Woolsey Fire in November.
