Burton Cummings announces performance in Kelowna

Burton Cummings has announced that he will be stopping in Kelowna on his Up Close and Alone tour. 

He earned his place in rock-n-roll history as front man of The Guess Who, a garage rock band forged in Winnipeg, Man. in 1962. Now, the member of the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, multiple JUNO Award winner and recipient of the Order of Canada continues to tour, his music standing the test of time.

Best known for international hits "American Woman", "These Eyes", "Laughing", "No Time", "Share The Land", "Hang On To Your Life", "Albert Flasher", "Sour Suite", "Orly", "Glamour Boy", "Star Baby", "Clap for the Wolf Man" and "Dancing Fool" that he co-wrote with then band, The Guess Who. Together he was one part of the first Canadian band to reach the top of the Billboard Charts and the first to earn a platinum album for sales of over one million copies in the U.S. 

He then set out on his own in 1976 with his debut single Stand Tall and continued to release over a dozen hit singles. 

He will perform at the Kelowna Community Theatre Oct. 20, tickets will go on sale May 24 at 10 a.m. at selectyourtickets.com
