It’s definitely festival season in the Okanagan with weekend long events cropping up all over. Whether you feel like checking out a car show, watching a pro scooter contest or dressing up as an Avenger, you’ll find it all right here in Kelowna!

Check out our weekend guide below with a selection of our favourite events taking place.

Friday, July 14

Culture Con ‘23

Network your way around a series of workshops and events for budding musicians at the Culture Con festival. Starting on Friday, workshops will take place at the Innovation Centre before artist performances take place at Vice and Virtue and Red Bird Brewing. More info here.

Price: Workshops are free / $50 for performance evenings 


The Okanagan’s Euro Car Show

Cruise your way through the DAS Weekend euro car event which consists of a BBQ, a drive up to Big White on Saturday and a car show on Sunday. Some proceeds raised from the weekend will go towards the KGH Foundation. More info here.

Time: Friday - Sunday / 11am sunday show
Price: $20 for car show entry


The Kelowna Fan Experience Festival 

Cosplay as your favourite superhero as the Kelowna Fan Experience returns to Kelowna for its 10th year. A full weekend schedule of guest speakers, theatre performances, and contests will be held over the weekend. More info here.

Price: $15 day tickets / $40 weekend tickets / $75 VIP tickets 


Saturday, July 15

Craft and Country, Beer and Music Mountain Festival

Drink up at Big White’s popular brewery event, now in its 8th year! Over 15 breweries and cideries will be attending to provide you with samples of their finest beverages. Entry includes five drink tokens and a commemorative drinking mug. More tokens can be purchased throughout the day. More info here

Plant Swap

Breathe some life into your house plant collection with a plant swap at Kelowna Downtown Library. Bring your healthy, unwanted vegetation and see what exciting new plants you can trade them for at this community event. More info here

Kelowna Scooter Fest

Ride your way to the big leagues by taking part in this locally held scooter fest competition. Participants need to register online and can choose from multiple categories including beginner, girls, street and more. Info here

Time: 9am-5pm
Price: $60-$100 entry / Free to watch 


TLC and Shaggy: Hot Summer Nights

Liven up your Saturday night with multi-grammy winning music legends Shaggy and TLC. The Hot Summer Nights concert will be held in Penticton and fans will be able to hear beloved hits like ‘It Wasn’t Me’ and ‘No Scrubs’. Tickets are still available here.

Time: 7:30pm
Price: $79.50-$89.50


Lost in Sound

Enjoy a night of curated house and techno music from local artists. Held at the Rotary Centre for the Arts Outdoor Terrace, you can enjoy the summer night air while you dance. Canned alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase at the venue. More info here.

Canada’s Parks Day

Join in the fun at Bertram Creek Regional Park with a day of watercolour painting, outdoor games, guided walks and nature programs. Bring a bathing suit and some picnic food to make the most out of the day. More info here

Sunday, July 16

East meets West at Volcanic Hills

Shop your way around market stalls amongst the vineyards at Volcanic Hills Winery. The theme for the market is Rose All Day, so you can bet there will be wine tastings from the winery available as well as products from local vendors. More info here.

Lake Country LEGO Builders

Assemble your most amazing LEGO creations as a family at Lake Country Library. Geared towards children 5-12 years old, the drop-in session is free and will give all children the chance to make their own LEGO designs. More info here
