We all know that now is the time to stay local, which gives us a perfect reason to get out to explore new places in your own backyard. There are many businesses and activities open that you can safely visit with your household.
Below are some ideas to help fill your “stay local, support local” itinerary:
Southeast Kelowna
Southeast Kelowna is known for its rolling hills, winding country roads, open farm fields, and orchards and vineyards. Once you’re in the area, you’ll feel like you are in a completely new place, Kelowna's own hidden rural community.

Downtown
Grab your kids—household or core bubble—and head down to our beautiful and vibrant downtown. Its condensed size means that you can walk, bike, longboard, or almost paddleboard, from site to site!
There are many well-known things to do downtown, and all of them are worth a repeat visit. Don’t miss the gardens, green spaces, and hiking trails, then hit a restaurant or brewery patio and enjoy the Okanagan sunshine.

Pandosy
Spend a day exploring all that the Pandosy area has to offer. Big beaches with playgrounds are perfect for families, plus there are lots of restaurants to choose from to grab take out for a picnic.
There’s even a brewery overlooking the beach that is one of the best places in town to watch the sun go down. And be sure to plan a stop at the Father Pandosy Mission to get a glimpse of some of Kelowna’s history. For more information on this area and the things to do, click here.
Rutland
This vibrant community in east Kelowna—named after John Rutland, an Australian farmer who moved to the area in 1902—boasts an array of natural spaces, dining options, and culture for all to enjoy.
Don’t miss all of the family-friendly fun to be had at the indoor activity centres and book in for a fun new adventure now. Or plan a day outdoors and visit some of the parks and trails and add a tour of the Uptown Mural Project to your list.
