Faces of Kelowna was created to provide a connection between business owners and consumers, offering a deeper look into what makes them unique and recognized in their sectors. Over the next few months, expect to see 20 different entrepreneurs and community business leaders sharing their stories of business in Kelowna. We hope after reading about all of this year's Faces of Kelowna, you feel more connected to our community and the businesses that help it thrive.

Take four good friends with a passion for Okanagan tourism, add a dash of entrepreneurial spirit, then mix in a couple bottles of creativity juice (wine), and what do you get?

A business dedicated to helping visitors experience the best that our region has to offer.

Show me where the locals go.

You’ve probably heard, or maybe said, this phrase before.

Checking classic landmarks and activities off the bucket list can be a lot of fun, but there’s something about exploring local, hidden gems that makes visiting a new city that much more fulfilling.

But how do you find them? Have a local help you plan your trip! Or better yet, a group of locals who have made it their job to help visitors experience the Okanagan to the fullest.

“We all fell in love with tourism well before we met at the Delta Grand Okanagan Resort,” said Jillian Haller, one of the four founders and co-owners of Kelowna Concierge.

“We are all very passionate about guest service and Kelowna, which is the perfect combination for a tourism business such as Kelowna Concierge.”

Kelowna Concierge was founded by two couples who became friends while working in the hospitality industry.

“We wanted all Kelowna visitors to be able to access a company that was able to help showcase the best of the Okanagan Valley, not just those guests who were staying at a high-end hotel,” said Jillian.

The four friends fleshed out the concept over the next couple months, and in May 2017 the business was up and running. They started with a focus on customized wine tours, but have since added event planning, destination management services, group transportation and an airport shuttle service

Kelowna Concierge’s business concept is largely based off personalization and promoting other local businesses.

“We love to chat with our clients to find out what they typically enjoy doing while on vacation, and then we customize something incredible for them in Kelowna,” said Jillian.

“We also love to showcase other local businesses that are a little off-the-beaten-path so that our clients can enjoy a really authentically Okanagan experience.”

Kelowna Concierge has worked hard to establish great relationships within the tourism and hospitality industry to offer their clients something special.

“We have had such incredible support over the past two years from our friends and family, the community and other tourism businesses here in Kelowna,” said Jillian.

“The growth that we have experienced over the past two years has been amazing and we hope to continue creating great relationships with other local businesses.”
