(UPDATE: Sept. 20 @ 10:05 pm) - Since he didn't host a live event tonight, Conservative MP Dan Albas took to Twitter for his first public comments following his re-election.
"I would like to take a moment to sincerely thank everyone who voted in this election. I would also like to thank all candidates and all volunteers," he wrote.
"The results do not always reflect the significant efforts that so many have put in over these past weeks for the various parties."
With 89% of polls now reporting, Albas has accumulated 25,109 votes (45.7%) in Central Okanagan-Similkameen-Nicola en route to his fourth straight election victory since the riding was created in 2011.

(UPDATE: Sept. 20 @ 9:30 pm): Dan Albas continues to stay in the lead in Central Okanagan-Similkameen-Nicola, as just over 70% of the polling results roll in.
Canadian Press has called the riding just after 9:30 pm for the Conservative incumbent.
Albas has been an MP since 2011, and after this win will be heading back to Ottawa once again.
The conservative leader now has just over 20,000 votes (45.0%), with Liberal Sarah Eves coming in with only 11,000 votes (24.9%), and NDP’s Joan Phillip just over 9,000 votes (20.3%).
People’s party candidate Kathryn McDonald with just over 3,000 votes (7.25) and Green Party’s Brennan Wauters with only 1,000 (2.6%).
(ORIGINAL STORY: Sept. 20 @ 8:45 pm): As polls across the country have been closed for the past two hours, preliminary results are starting to come in.
Conservative Dan Albas has been looking to be re-elected in Central Okanagan-Similkameen-Nicola and it certainly appears as though he’s heading in that direction.
With 110 out of 247 polls (44.53%) reporting in the region, the Conservative candidate is pulling ahead with just over 15,000 votes (45.6%).
Sarah Eves the Liberal candidate isn’t far behind as she gets close to reaching 9,000 votes (25.6%).
The NDP candidate, Joan Phillip has just over 6,000 votes (18.3%).
Kathryn McDonald the PPC is nearing 2,000 votes for the Central Okanagan-Similkameen-Nicola.
The Green Party candidate Brennan Wauters is bringing up the rear with just over 800 votes.
The riding for the Central Okanagan-Similkameen-Nicola spans from the Logan Lake area, to the eastern edge of Kelowna to Keremeos in the south.
Albas said that a video statement would be made later this evening once results came in. KelownaNow caught up to Eves to get preliminary quote as votes began to trickle in.
