The warm weather has returned, which means it’s officially Slurpee season.

Sure, an ice cold Slurpee in a regular cup is fine, but it’s always fun to get creative and fill up whatever vessel you can find around the house during 7-Eleven’s annual Bring Your Own Cup event.

That event back for today and Saturday only, and the convenience store chain is encouraging people to get even whackier with their cups this year.

That’s because this year’s event is the official kick-off of 7-Eleven’s 50th year in Canada, so there’s plenty of reason to celebrate.

New flavours like green apple watermelon and strawberry blast will also be available as part of the 50-year anniversary celebrations.

Each vessel costs $2 to fill and the only restrictions are that they must be smaller than 26 centimetres in diameter, as well as watertight and hygienic.
