Spring in the Okanagan will end with a three week celebration of the region’s wine industry.

The Okanagan Spring Wine Festival will return with a series of events between June 2-23, allowing people to explore their favourite wineries and discover hidden treasures.

While events start as early as June 2, the official launch of the festival will be at the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre on Friday, June 7, following the British Columbia Wine Awards private reception.

A series of Taste and Sips events will give people opportunities to experience wine from the Okanagan and rest of BC over the three-week festival.

The Taste series will launch with the Naramata Bench Wineries Association on June 2, followed by the District Wine Village on June 8-9, Sandhill Wines on June 13 and the Scenic Sip Wine Trail in Lake Country on June 23.

The brand new Sips Series will feature two anchor events in the Summer Sips at Spirit Ridge Resort on June 8 and the Solstice Sips at SilverStar Resort on June 22.

Beyond the signature events, the festival will also feature several other special nights throughout the Okanagan over three weeks.

That includes Father’s Day BBQ and Blues at Nighthawk Vineyards and Pride in the Vines at See Ya Later Ranch.

“Join us June 2-23 and help us celebrate our excellent winery partners as they open their doors for another season of sharing their unique stories about their wines, history and terroir,” notes a release from Okanagan Wine Festivals. “There is no better time to visit BC Wine Country than now.”
