Another big name store has stepped up to assist the Girl Guides of Canada in their time of need.

Following in the footsteps of London Drugs, Save-On-Foods will now sell Girl Guide cookies from their 175 locations across Western Canada.

The move comes after Girl Guides of Canada had to abandon their typical door-to-door campaign this year because of COVID-19.

“Save-On-Foods has a long history of supporting our communities, and we wanted to help Girl Guides with this fantastic tradition,” said Save-On-Foods president Darrell Jones.

“For many people, these cookies mark the start of spring, and we are happy to give our customers the chance to support Girl Guides by picking up a box or two next time they shop at Save-On-Foods.”

The stores will be selling the boxes of chocolate and vanilla sandwich cookies for $5 per box, but it doesn’t sound like the mint cookies will be available.

They’ll be available in store and online while supplies last and all of the proceeds will be going directly to Girl Guides of Canada.
