Beyond Meat has arrived at Starbucks.

The coffee chain's new Beyond Meat, cheddar and egg sandwich is available starting today and it's the first food item with a plant-based patty to find its way onto the Starbucks menu.

“The Beyond Meat, cheddar and egg sandwich features a plant-based patty topped with cheddar cheese and egg on an artisanal bun,” says a release from Starbucks Canada.

“The patty is made with a special blend of herbs and spices, including oregano, basil, rosemary and fennel.”

Starbucks and Beyond Meat worked together to develop a “delicious uniquely designed with the Starbucks Canada customer in mind.”

Although Canadians are usually left waiting to try new products after markets like the United States, this time it’s different.

Canada is the first Starbucks market to launch any type of meatless breakfast sandwich.

The highly-anticipated new item just adds to a breakfast menu that’s already stacked with great options hot options and bakery items.
