Driver busted for going 122km/hr in a 50 zone after receiving their licence that same day

The Westshore RCMP detailed an experience one of their officers had with a new driver last night on Vancouver Island.


According to police, a driver was pulled over on Metchosin Road after being caught going 122 km/hr in a 50 zone.

Then, the driver informed the officer that they were celebrating receiving their licence that very day. 


Unfortunately, the celebration didn’t last long. The driver was given a ticket for excessive speeding, and also received a seven day impound.
