Trail: Peachland Lookout
Trail Distance: 5 kilometres, round trip

Directions:
Located in Peachland, turn up Princeton Avenue. Follow Princeton until it reaches dirt and turns to Brenda Mines Road. Stay on the dirt road for approximately 3 km. You will pass the ZipZone at 2 km and just after the 3 km marker turn right into the dirt pull out and park.
Description:
The trail to the Peachland Lookout follows along an old, washed out road to a beautiful view of the bend in Okanagan Lake.
From the parking area, the trail is easy with a few incline sections, but overall fairly flat. There is a trail map at the parking area but unfortunately, people have not respected this area and have made the map unreadable. To start, walk up the old logging road on the left side. Stay on this main road following the odd little white hiker signs in the trees, sticking right at both intersections.
At just over 2 km, we came to an opening with a fantastic view looking over the south end of Peachland, the Okanagan Lake and towards Naramata and Summerland! One of my favourite things about our local trails is the excellent views of the Okanagan Lake and with a 135 km long lake, there are so many interesting angles to view it! The Peachland Lookout offers just that, a different angle that most don't see!
After a little 'hangout' and enjoying the views, we headed back the same way we came. This trail is easily accessible and offers great views with a little solitude, as it is not a highly used trail.
Always remember to be mindful of your surroundings, pack out what you pack in, stick to the trails and happy exploring!

- Good footwear
- Water/Snack
- Bear spray (always a good thing to carry)
- Bug spray
- Camera/Phone
Note: There is no cell service for the first half of the trail, but I had service at the view point.
