Flight Goes Missing from Vancouver to Prince George

A cargo aircraft has gone missing after departing from Vancouver International Airport (YVR) early Monday morning.

Carson Air Flight 66 departed from YVR at 6:43 a.m. and was headed for Prince George Airport. According to the Vancouver Airport Authority, NavCanada’s Kamloops Flight Information Centre has lost contact with the aircraft. The plane had two people on board, and the cargo flight is using a Metro II aircraft.

Vancouver Airport Authority is working with its partner agencies including Rescue Coordination Centre who are currently responding. More information will be released as soon as it becomes available, and currently operations at YVR are not affected.
