Kamloops RCMP Searching for Pill Thief

A thief led Kamloops RCMP on a manhunt Saturday afternoon after demanding prescription medication from a local grocery store.

At around 1:30 p.m., RCMP responded to a robbery at the Cooper’s Goods Pharmacy at 3435 Westsyde Road.

A male suspect entered into the store wearing a black motorcycle helmet and demanded money and prescription medication from an employee. The suspect then took off on an unknown motorcycle.

Following the male’s getaway, officers, police dog services, and helicopter operators assisted in the search for the suspect.

The suspect was seen wearing a yellow t-shirt, shorts, and a black motorcycle helmet at the time of the robbery.

According to RCMP, the investigation is on-going. 

Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the male suspect. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to contact the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000.
