Flash flooding in Kamloops has swamped at least 20 to 30 homes in the Oak Hills Trailer Park area.
According to Platoon Captain Rob Chalmers with the Kamloops Fire Department, the worst of the water flow has stopped, but there is still a lot of cleanup work to be done.

Flooding began late in the afternoon on Tuesday at approximately 3-3:30 p.m. Dime-sized hail and flash flooding has led to the accumulation of about two to three feet of water and debris in the Oak Hills area.
The City of Kamloops has issued an evacuation notice for the residents of Oak Hills and an Emergency Reception Centre at Interior Savings Centre Parkside Lounge has been established.
