Police in Chase are searching for two suspected bank robbers.

It was on Monday, November 30th, around 1:20 p.m., when a man walked into the Royal Bank of Canada in Chase, wielding a weapon and demanding money.

After gaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled the bank and got into the passenger side of a newer white GMC SUV.

The vehicle took off southbound on Chase Street. Police believe the SUV may have turned onto Highway 1, but the exact direction is unknown at this time.

The suspect was wearing a mask during the robbery, but witnesses described the individual as about 5’10” and around 180-190 pounds.

He was also seen wearing a white hoody with a “fox” logo on the chest, a multi-coloured balaclava; black pants and gloves, and was carrying a black fabric grocery bag.

The driver of the SUV was not seen.

No one was injured during this incident and there were no customers in the bank at the time of the robbery.

Police are classifying the suspects as armed and dangerous. Anyone who might come across these suspects are asked not to approach them, but to call 911 immediately.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Chase RCMP detachment at 250-679-3221.
