Multiple crashes on Coquihalla Highway near Kamloops

Multiple vehicle incidents on the Coquihalla highway have sent several people to the hospital on Friday afternoon.

B.C. Emergency Health Services said eight patients have been transported to hospital in relation to multiple accidents near the Inks Lake brake check on Highway 5.

At least five ambulances were sent to the area shortly after 1:00 p.m.

B.C. Emergency Health Services say the incidents were caused by slippery conditions.

B.C. Emergency Health Services did not provide details on the extent of injuries.
