Melody Manuel received a birthday gift that will keep on giving for the next 25 years.

A winning Set for Life ticket, gifted by her husband, means Manuel will receive an annuity prize of $1,000 a week for the next 25 years.

“I was shocked when I saw I won,” said Manuel. “There was a real sense of excitement, and it’s definitely one of the best birthday presents ever!”

The Kamloops resident said she looks forward to living a more carefree lifestyle with her win and plans to pay off some debt and go on a shopping spree.

“I still have to prioritize what to buy first,” laughed Manuel. “My dream list includes a house, maybe a new vehicle and a new vacation!”

The winning ticket was purchased at Paul Lake Husky in Kamloops.
