A storm has wreaked havoc in one region of B.C.

High winds and lightning caused power outages in and around Kamloops and Sicamous, affecting over 10,000 customers on Saturday, according to BC Hydro.

Fallen trees in Salmon Arm are still obstructing roads in the area, keeping crews from accessing certain locations. BC Hydro continued to work throughout Sunday night.

People have taken to Twitter with pictures displaying damage in the Shuswap area.
