The Kamloops RCMP had its hands full with an impaired driver last week.

He was first stopped around 1:15 pm by an officer who was making patrols in the area of Highridge Drive and Todd Road.

Although the stop was because the vehicle had no insurance, it led to a roadside breath test that resulted in a ‘Warn’ reading.

As a result, the Kamloops man was issued a three-day driving prohibition, along with violation tickets for driving with no insurance or license, and the vehicle was impounded.

Shortly after, around 3:25 pm, the same man was spotted driving a different vehicle in the 5000 block of Dallas Drive.

He was quickly pulled over and arrested for both prohibited and impaired driving.

The incident is still under investigation and charges are anticipated once that investigation is complete.
