Mounties have renewed their appeal for information about the disappearance of a Merritt man.

Dean Kelly Morrison, who was 44, left his painting job at Stump Lake Ranch near Kamloops on Oct. 22, 2013.

He was never seen again.

Police in Kamloops said the investigation into Morrison’s disappearance remains open.

The last official search for Morrison was in 2019 when crews covered both new and previously explored areas in and around Stump Lake, south of Kamloops.

“Over the years we have maintained contact with Dean’s family, who sadly still don’t have any concrete answers about the disappearance of their loved one,” said S/Sgt. Bill Wallace, Tk’emlúps Rural RCMP Detachment Commander.

“If you know what happened to Dean, or have information that could be related to this investigation and haven’t shared it with us yet, it’s not too late. Not knowing what’s happened to a loved one can create an unmeasurable void for any family.”

Anyone with information about Dean Morrison’s disappearance is asked to call the Tk’emlúps Rural RCMP at 250-314-1800 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
