Mounties got a surprise in Kamloops on Monday night when they caught four impaired drivers in five hours.
It happened during a night shift, police said.
“Frontline officers are always observing motorists and their driving behaviours so they frequently do find impaired drivers,” said Cpl Jodi Shelkie.
“But to find four impaired drivers on a Monday night shift is unusual.”
Each of the drivers now faces a significant fine and the loss of their licence.
Their vehicles will also be impounded.
Police added: “Kamloops RCMP would like to remind motorists to plan ahead and have a plan on how they will get home if they have been drinking.
“Consider taking a taxi or public transit or having a designated driver.”
