Guns and Drugs Seized from Kelowna Problem Residence, Man Outstanding

Several people were detained, seven guns were seized, and drugs were taken from a Kelowna home on Tuesday morning, January 13th. A 36 year old Kelowna man is facing potential gun and drug charges after police searched a residence on the 1800 block of High Road. The RCMP said the home was a well-known problem residence.

Members of the Kelowna RCMP Street Enforcement Teams executed the search and found a large number of people hanging out in the residence. According to the Kelowna RCMP, the people inside during the search were detained in the interest of officer safety.

The search led to the seizure of five rifles, ammunition, two replica firearms, and 4.17 grams of crystal meth from a bedroom inside the home.

The 36 year old Kelowna man is facing as many as 14 potential firearms charges, as well as possession of a controlled substance. He was not home at the time of the search and remains outstanding.
