The monthly community based event brings together successful local business people with enthusiastic aspiring entrepreneurs giving them the opportunity to learn from some of the best. The event is organized by Evan Dizak as well as the non-profit organization Community Futures. Thus far the social has been well received in the community as there is no cost to attend.

With more than 20 people taking in the event, space can be tight for the round table type discussion with the guest speakers. Previous speakers have included Shane Austin, one of the founders of the Okanagan Co+Lab and Donnie Ungaro, from Culinary Ink.

The January social will feature the Owner of MVP Modern Barbers and CEO of Visland Media, Alex Miller. Miller will talk about perseverance and the responsibility of entrepreneurs and his ups and downs of starting businesses in Kelowna. The event will take at the Okanagan Co+Lab, located at #205-1405 St. Paul Street on Thursday January, 28th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

As always, pizza will be available from Dunn Enzies and drinks sponsored by Sun-Rype and Big Surf and will be provided free of charge. The event is free to attend but registration is appreciated by organizers. You can sign up online for this month’s social here.
