Young Woman Killed in Accident Along Highway 33 Identified

The woman killed in a car accident along Highway 33 Wednesday after noon has been identified as the Joe Rich Fire Chief’s daughter.

Around 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday, the car 21 year old Alexandra Paulina Nyuli was driving ended up an embankment along the highway killing her instantly. She was the sole occupant of the vehicle when it rolled more than 100 metres down the embankment.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation and the Highway in that area was shut for several hours following the crash. The accident occurred near the hairpin section of the highway that has a reduced speed limit. No other information about the incident has been released.
