The Paddle Centre is alreadyopen for business but will have its official grand opening on May 2nd to showcase a whole host of amenities for paddle enthusiasts. Last fall Kelowna city council granted an expansion to the club which meant the addition of a new Clubhouse and storage space. The Club’s directors and members embraced this opportunity, setting lofty goals and initiatives so that locals, along with their visiting friends and families can all enjoy the waterfront and lake and make great memories with healthy, clean activities.

For 2015 the Centre will offer learn to paddle courses, rentals and memberships that will give locals the chance to use the club’s equipment. The brand new clubhouse will feature change rooms, showers and a place for coffee. To kick off the year the Centre is offering a new membership draw for a bike through Fresh Air’s “Pedal to Paddle” initiative.

Returning members will get their own draw for a folding travel kayak. A family of four can all be members for $700 for the entire season, which will give them access to the Centre’s equipment, including life jackets, paddles and stand-up paddle boards. More information about the Centre can be found here.
