Kelowna RCMP says they have a vacuum thief on their hands that is making off with expensive cleaning devices from a local drug store.

A loss prevention officer from the Kelowna London Drugs store called RCMP to report an incident of shoplifting that occurred on March 30th.

A customer noticed a man running from the store carrying merchandise and alerted staff. Video surveillance revealed the man entering the store at around 9:30 p.m., picking up two iRobot Roomba vacuums and exiting the store.

According to police, the Roomba’s are worth approximately $300 each and in the last three months, six vacuums have been stolen from the store. Police have released a photo of the vacuum thief and hopes that the public will be able to identify him.

Anyone who may have information or can identify this man is asked to call the Central Okanagan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS or the RCMP.
