Rash of Bike Thefts in Downtown Kelowna

A rash of bike thefts has plagued the downtown core of Kelowna as RCMP say 18 bicycles have been stolen in the past week.

Bikes are being stolen from all types of areas including apartment buildings. One of the most recent thefts was at a building in the 800 block of Bernard Avenue. The security bars at the rear of the building’s underground parkade were cut and two bicycles stolen from the storage area.

The stolen bikes were a charcoal, red and white Giant Anyroad Comax with serial number GG54Z0108 and a 2013 Cannondale Synapse 54 inch black road bike with serial number JM58842.  The Giant bicycle had the words “Demo Bike” on it.
