Hosted by the Okanagan Sikh Temple and Cultural Society, the Vaisakhi Parade hit the streets on Saturday, filling Rutland with bright colours and festivities.

Vaisakhi Day is celebrated worldwide as one of the most important festivals in the Sikh calendar, and it marks the day in 1699 when Guru Gobid Singh created the Khalsa brotherhood.
