Body Found in Ben Lee Park

UPDATE: as of 9:45 Monday morning, RCMP said that foul play is not suspected. Investigation is ongoing. 

The body of a man was found in Ben Lee Park on Sunday evening.

According to Corporal Joe Duncan with the Kelowna RCMP, the body of a 45-year-old was found on the field hockey area of Ben Lee park in Rutland at around 6:38 p.m. on Sunday.

A couple of girls were playing basketball when they saw the man lying on his back. The situation was then called in and RCMP, the coroner, and ambulance attended the scene.

The incident is currently in the hands of the coroner and the investigation is ongoing.
