Kelowna residents won’t be able to use some of the tennis courts at Parkinson Recreation Park on Tuesday.

The City of Kelowna has announced that the Basil Meikle tennis courts at the park near the Apple Bowl Stadium will be closed on Tuesday, May 5th from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. for maintenance. All six courts will be power washed by crews.

The City is asking tennis players to be patient while maintenance is going on. Players can use one of the other public tennis courts in 12 neighbourhood parks across Kelowna.

However, the pickle ball courts and two other tennis courts east of Parkinson Recreation Centre won’t be affected by maintenance.

You can find a tennis court near you through the City of Kelowna’s website.
