World-renowned paleontologists will gather in Kelowna for a two-day conference with UBC Okanagan.
Hosted by the Canadian Society of Vertebrate Paleontology, the event on Thursday, May 14th and Friday, May 15th will feature world dinosaur expert Prof. Phil Currie. Currie is an internationally renowned palaeontologist whose scientific accomplishments have led to a greater understanding of dinosaurs and their scientific significance.

There will be plenty to discuss at the meeting with the recent discovery of a major "dinosaur trackway” fossil field in northern B.C. The two-day event of scientific paper presentations and technical sessions is hosted by the Department of Earth and Environmental Scientists, Department of Biology, Irving K. Barber School of Arts and Sciences, UBC Okanagan.
The conference will be held at the Rotary Centre for the Arts and feature several guest speakers. This will be the first ever stand-alone meeting of the Canadian Society of Vertebrate Paleontology.
